Melinda Hodkiewicz (Western Australia Chapter Committee) (right) and Andrew Morgan (Western Australia Chapter Chair) (centre) recently presented at IPWEA’s monthly lunch (Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia). The lunch was held at the City of Cockburn shire offices and hosted by local IPWEA Chapter Chair Glyn Davis (left) from the Armidale City Council.

Melinda discussed the international project aiming to develop an international ISO Standards for Asset Management. Melinda is leading the Australian efforts under the banner of Standards Australia.

Andrew presented some thoughts on the trends and challenges in asset management facing the mining industry.

The lunch was attended by about 30 IPWEA members, many from local councils in Perth.
