DESCRIPTION:Globally\, we are seeing a rise in frequency and impact of natural catastrophes that are being exacerbated by a changing climate. Our climate has already changed\, it is physically bigger\, it holds more energy and when that energy is released it creates more disruption than our operations and assets are often designed for. Asset managers must adopt approaches to managing portfolio physical risk that better reflects the uncertainty of our operating environments. \nThis presentation will discuss: \n\nIdentify: Climate change\, systemic risk and asset portfolios\nMeasure: How to assess physical climate risk across large asset portfolios\nManage: Observations on asset portfolio risk and how to manage them\n\n  \nClick here to register\n  \nAbout the speaker:\nHenry Elderfield\, Manager – Risk Advisory\, Aurecon\n\nHenry is an experienced risk manager with a diverse range of international experience in climate change risk management\, asset portfolio risk management\, international security and counterterrorism\, and crisis management. \nHenry specialises in physical climate risk assessments to inform operational resilience initiatives and financial market disclosure frameworks for large physical asset portfolios. He has designed and executed portfolio climate risk assessments for S&P500 and ASX50 companies. \nHenry focuses on aligning climate risk management to business performance\, which means: \n\nAdopting existing enterprise management frameworks\nIdentifying key operational and business functions to assess climate risk against\nDeriving the incremental effect of climate change on existing risk profiles\n\nHenry has a degree in International Relations majoring in Diplomacy\, Masters Degree in Business majoring in Applied Finance. Henry also hold an Associate in Risk Management accreditation from The Institutes.
