Two key topics will be covered: \n\nSustainability & Resilience in AM Toolkit\nEmbedding Sustainability Principles in Asset Management – Key Considerations\n\nThe toolkit will be presented and is available for Asset Management Council members to utilise in applying sustainability and resilience in asset management. \nWe will also share the publication by SRiAM that covers key considerations for embedding sustainability principles in asset management. \nAnkur Maheshwari\, Technical Director\, Asia Pacific\, AMCL\, and Member of the AMCouncil’s Sustainability & Resilience in Asset Management (SRiAM) special interest group \nAnkur is Technical Director\, Asia Pacific with AMCL Pty Ltd. He has many years experience in embedding sustainability and resilience principles in asset management. Ankur is an active member of Asset Management Councils Special Interest Group SRiAM and was involved in development of the outputs that will be presented at this session. \n\nWater Corporation’s approach to climate change risk management: optimising effort to our adaptation strategies:\nThe Water Corporation has been managing the impacts of a drying climate since the 1970’s through water source diversification to supplement decreased dam inflows and declining groundwater allocations. However\, climate change will also create risks more broadly to our water\, wastewater and drainage network. A systematic risk-based approach is required to better understand the impact of climate change on our ability to deliver our services to our customers\, community and the environment. \nDylan Pritchard\, Specialist – Asset Management System & Risk\, Water Corporation \nDylan Pritchard is an experienced environmental scientist and risk management specialist from the Water Corporation in Western Australia. Dylan has previously worked for an environmental consultancy\, undertaking contaminated land investigations on behalf of a variety of clients\, then transitioning to support the environmental investigation of treated wastewater reuse schemes across WA at public open spaces. Dylan is currently leading a project forecasting risks from changing climate patterns to infrastructure\, leveraging his knowledge of environmental science and asset risk management to integrate climate change considerations into the existing asset management processes. \nGeorgina Hurst\, Principal – Performance & Forecasting\, Water Corporation \nGeorgina Hurst is an experienced Principal of Strategy and Performance with 20 plus years’ experience in infrastructure asset management within the water sector. Georgina has previously led the development of Water Corporation’s annual Strategic Asset Plan and the Waterwise Perth Action Plan\, a cross agency plan to address the impacts of climate change\, to transform Perth into a leading waterwise city by 2030. Georgina currently specialises in infrastructure sustainability and has recently led the adoption of Infrastructure Sustainability Ratings for major Water Corporation infrastructure  projects such as the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant. \n\nCafé Style Collaborative Workshop on: holistic assessment of climate event impacts\, and Asset Management Decision Making through a Sustainability Lens:\nThe Sustainability and Resilience in Asset Management (SRiAM) Special Interest Group’s purpose is to clarify\, promote and integrate sustainability and resilience as essential considerations in the context of Asset Management. SRiAM has two current active working groups. In this session we will share the progress of these working groups and work collaboratively with attendees to workshop challenges and solutions in : \n\nUndertaking holistic assessment of climate event impacts : how to consider direct and indirect consequences from climate events ? Current approaches.\nHow to embed sustainability in Asset Management Decision Making ?\n\nThis session facilitated by Ankur Maheswhari and Michael Martinovich will provide an opportunity to collaborate with local industry experts and discuss challenges and approaches in these areas.
