SUMMARY:Webinar - Healthcare and Transportation: ISO 55000 in Socially Critical Organisations
DESCRIPTION:Join us to explore Healthcare and Transportation: ISO 55000 in Socially Critical Organisations\, featuring: \n\nArt Kurland is Director\, Capital and Asset Management\, University Health\, San Antonio\, Texas\, which was the first hospital in the world to become ISO 55001 certified. Art spoke at the first Value and Benefits from Asset Management web program 4 years ago. Since then\, University Health has been re-certified and is pursuing another recertification. Art will provide our first revisit to an organization to see how their culture of Asset Management has expanded\, how measurable results have been achieved\, and how University Health\, which has more than US$1 billion in annual revenue has added value from assets through a systematic approach to Asset Management governance.\n\n\nShane Day is Discipline Manager of RAMS and Asset Management: Rail & Transit Systems at Downer Group\, which specializes in a range technical and management services for Transportation solutions. Shane will be addressing the extensive work done on a rollingstock fleet to optimize maintenance and create efficiencies in performance of maintenance activities under a supporting framework of ISO55001 and how the framework provided continuity during business transformations. Shane has 15 combined years of experience at Downer Group within Corporate and in the Rail & Transit Systems business as well as time with Arup and Bombardier Transportation in the UK. He also served in the Royal New Zealand Airforce for 10 years in the avionics discipline on various aircraft and supporting functions.\n\nThe presentations will be followed by a Discussion Panel with Art Kurland\, Shane Day\, Nick Phillips\, Mike Bordenaro and Peter Kohler to answer your questions \nClick here to register\n

SUMMARY:Webinar - Spares Wars: The Poisson Awakens (feat. Monte Carlo)
DESCRIPTION:In this webinar\, we will delve into two widely used methods for spares calculations: Poisson Distribution and Monte Carlo Simulation. We’ll examine the underlying assumptions of each approach\, compare the results they generate\, and discuss which method offers greater statistical robustness and defensibility in real-world applications. \nThe session will combine theoretical foundations with practical demonstrations using Microsoft Excel\, making the concepts accessible and directly applicable to day-to-day engineering tasks. Attendees will also gain insights into the strengths and limitations of each method\, helping them make more informed decisions when modelling spares requirements. \nThis webinar is ideal for Reliability Engineers and Asset Management professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of quantitative spares analysis and improve the credibility of their recommendations. \nClick here to register \nBrought to you by the Asset Management Council’s Maintenance & Reliability in Asset Management special interest group. \nPresenter:\nAkshay Athalye\, Supportability Engineer\, Babcock Australasia\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Akshay is a Chartered Professional Engineer and passionate Reliability Engineer with a strong focus on helping organisations unlock maximum value from their assets. He is equally dedicated to supporting the next generation of engineers by demystifying Reliability Engineering and promoting a clear understanding of its principles and practical applications. As the host of the podcast “Reliability – It Matters”\, Akshay engages with industry experts to explore key topics\, challenge common misconceptions\, and share insights that drive better decision-making and outcomes in asset management. Through his work\, he strives to build a more informed and capable reliability community\, grounded in data\, collaboration\, and continuous improvement.
