SUMMARY:Webinar - Transforming Infrastructure Decision Making: Aqwest's Strategic Decommissioning and Infrastructure Prioritisation Framework
DESCRIPTION:This presentation will focus on how Aqwest\, in partnership with BetterAIM\, developed a transparent\, corporate-objective-aligned decision framework to address increasing climate risk\, ageing infrastructure and uncertainty around which assets should be renewed\, retained or decommissioned within the Bunbury Water Supply Scheme. \nThe co-designed methodology integrates weighted strategic objectives\, risk and benefit scoring\, and pre- and post-mitigant analysis to prioritise activities across the entire scheme. The framework transformed reactive project listings into structured\, evidence-based infrastructure governance. \nThe framework has reshaped the Strategic Asset Plan and long-term water strategy\, strengthened Board confidence\, and is being embedded more broadly within the organisation.
