SUMMARY:Brisbane - UAV/ROV-based multi-layer Collection Methods and defect detection algorithms for asset condition inspections – Is this the future? and Brisbane Chapter Social
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Brisbane Chapter’s next event of the year; which will explore the applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for condition assessment. It will look at the current status and market background of asset management\, focusing on the global drive for asset owners to predict and prolong active asset life while de-risking their assets\, and despite ever increasing pressures to increase capacity and performance. \nWe will also address the pain points faced by today’s asset owners regarding digital condition assessments and explore various systems available\, such as UAV collection only\, manual recognition and defect quantification\, UAV collection and AI recognition of defects\, and AI-induced UAV collection to address these concerns. The discussed methodologies will also be supported by real-life case studies of implementations from different sectors. \nThis session will be followed by our Chapter’s first Social of the year so please stay with us after for drinks and networking at a nearby watering hole! \nClick here to register\n  \nAgenda\nNetworking and nibbles: 4.30pm – 5.30pm\nPresentation & Q&A: 5pm – 6pm\nBrisbane Chapter Social: 6pm – 7.30pm \n  \nAbout the speaker: \nClara Owen\, National Director Asset Management\, Arcadis \nClara Owen is an innovative and strategic thinker with a strong background in asset management and engineering.
