DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening designed for early-career professionals\, those transitioning into asset management roles\, and practitioners simply looking to refresh their knowledge and reconnect with our asset management community. The session will refresh core asset management concepts\, explore recent updates to Asset Management Council models\, and discuss emerging trends and challenges shaping the profession\, through short presentations followed by an interactive panel discussion. \nThe event will also highlight diverse pathways into asset management\, with speakers sharing their career journeys\, key mindset shifts\, and the skills that remain valuable across operations\, delivery\, and asset management roles. Attendees will have opportunities to network with peers\, engage with the Brisbane Chapter committee\, and learn how to get involved with the AMC\, including the upcoming Annual General Meeting. \nClick here to register\n  \n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Matthew Bower is a Chartered Engineer with over 25 years’ asset management and program management experience working within different asset industry sectors.  Matthew has an asset owner background championing better practice Asset Management\, up lifting maturity through knowledge sharing and insight alignment to business objectives.   Matthew has recently been providing asset management leadership for the interfacing programs for the conversion\, integration and configuration of the Sydney Bankstown line to a GOA4 Metro service to minimise and manage risk\, costs\, safety and performance outcomes.  Matthew is now\, working within the Urban Utilities NG4D program to accelerate planning outcomes into successfully delivered programs.\n		\n			\n		\n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Rajesh Kumar is a seasoned strategic practitioner with a wealth of experience in driving organizational maturity\, enhancing governance\, and aligning intricate operational functions with overarching enterprise strategies. He excels in implementing and overseeing comprehensive asset management processes and systems\, ensuring that outcomes are consistently aligned with the strategic vision. A trusted advisor in large-scale operational transitions\, business readiness and program performance management\, Rajesh’s ability to influence executive stakeholders\, simplify complex challenges\, and implement robust frameworks has been instrumental in delivering reliable and consistent service levels. His contributions have significantly advanced the strategic objectives of the organizations he has collaborated with. His expertise is widely recognized for shaping and fostering high-performing ecosystems that encompass clients\, integration partners\, engineering teams\, and the broader supply chain.\n		\n			\n		\n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Susan Chamberlain is a Chartered Civil Engineer with asset management\, project and design management\, and road network management experience. She is part of WSP’s Strategic Asset Management team\, assisting asset-owning organisations with strategic\, tactical\, and operational asset management improvements. Susan’s experience spans Australia\, New Zealand\, England\, and Malaysia. She is a Certified Practitioner in Asset Management\, a Certified Asset Management Assessor\, and a Fellow of Engineers Australia. She recently led one of the Asset Management Council’s project teams for the update of the Global Forum on Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) Asset Management Landscape document.\n		\n			\n		\n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Lalyn Masangcay is an RPEQ – Civil\, Senior Asset Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in water and wastewater\, specialising in strategic and lifecycle asset management. Lalyn is a long-term volunteer with the AMCouncil Brisbane Chapter\, having served as a committee member since 2018. Currently with the City of Gold Coast in the Asset Lifecycle Planning and Performance group\, Lalyn oversees tactical and lifecycle asset planning for reservoirs\, bringing ISO 55000 principles to life through practical\, evidence and risk-based decision making. Her asset management journey was shaped during her time at Seqwater\, where she worked across condition assessments\, capital renewal programs\, and asset management planning for both recreation assets and network reservoirs. Lalyn also brings extensive experience in the detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure\, gained across both the Philippines and Australia. Known within the AMCouncil community for her bubbly\, positive energy\, Lalyn genuinely loves insightful discussions\, continuous learning and sharing for collective growth and connecting with likeminded professionals.
