SUMMARY:Melbourne - Local Government Asset Planning - Getting the Most From Community Consultation
DESCRIPTION:The Australian Local Government Act 2020 requires local government authorities to undertake a number of asset management responsibilities as part of their asset planning cycles. \nOne of these responsibilities is deliberative community engagement\, which is designed to ensure the wants and needs of the local community are adequately reflected in local government financial\, asset\, and strategic plans. \nDeliberative engagement presents both a challenge and a value proposition to local government authorities — from the perspectives of efficiency and effectiveness\, as well as the opportunity to capture valuable insights and context. \nCindy Plowman from Conversation Co actively supports local government authorities in navigating and maximising value through the deliberative engagement process. Cindy has a wealth of experience working with community groups and will share her knowledge and insights on how to leverage community input to produce meaningful impact for all parties. \n  \nClick here to register
