This role provides a unique perspective compared with contractor-side delivery of multi-billion-dollar projects\, requiring Maddison to carefully balance asset replacement and maintenance while prioritising safety\, quality\, cost\, time\, and the welfare of both guests and animals.\n		\n			\n		\n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Sally Busch has extensive experience across the aviation\, defence\, and energy sectors\, bringing a multidisciplinary perspective to asset management. At Ausgrid\, she shapes asset strategies that balance cost\, risk and performance to guide decisions supporting a rapidly evolving electricity network. Her background includes technical leadership in asset strategy and performance\, climate resilience\, modelling\, reliability\, and strategic engineering support across the asset lifecycle.\n		\n			\n		\n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Gavin Cavanagh has held a number of Systems Engineering positions at TfNSW\, Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink over the past nine years\, along with Asset Resilience roles more recently. Prior to the transport sector\, Gavin worked in the defence and aerospace sector for 20 years in Australia\, including 16 years as a uniformed Air Force Officer and four years in the defence industry\, again in Systems Engineering and Life Cycle Management. His experience in Asset Resilience stems from his military background with the Defence-in-Depth approach and is an extension of his Systems Engineering knowledge and expertise. In addition\, Irina has worked extensively as an advocate for women in engineering and worked with various organisations in engineering outreach at primary\, secondary\, and tertiary levels. \nMaddy English is a Manager in KPMG’s Engineering and Asset Management Team. She is an engineering professional with six years of experience working primarily with water utilities and a long held interest in the preservation of the natural environment. Following her graduation from the University of Sydney with a degree in civil (environmental) engineering\,  Maddy commenced her career at AECOM\, primarily working on wastewater planning projects. Maddy then transitioned to KPMG in 2019 to gain broader exposure across sectors and projects. Focussed on energy and utilities\, Maddy’s current work involves optimising asset management practices to enhance customer value efficiently. Recent projects include translating technical engineering models into strategic investment plans for utilities and assessing climate risks for infrastructure maintenance and investment. Beyond her client work\, Maddy actively promotes women to consider STEM degrees through KPMG’s partnerships with Robogals and engages in sustainability initiatives focussed on waste management and climate action. \nBraeden Knox is an Asset Management Consultant\, and has been part of the WSP Strategic Asset Management Team for over one and a half years. Braeden has a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic Engineering and Creative Intelligence and Innovation. Prior to his graduation\, he was a Systems Engineering Intern at Thales in the Security and Communications team. In his career at WSP\, Braeden has played a pivotal role in projects that include the development of Asset Management Plans\, performing Asset Management Maturity Assessments\, Asset Assurance\, Technical Due Diligence\, Standards Development\, and Technical Maintenance Plan Development for key infrastructure projects like the Parramatta Light Rail and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. His professional interests are focused on the AI space\, which he has adeptly incorporated into his work\, as well as Data and Process Automation\, and exploring how organizations operate and communicate effectively. \nAmel Tokalic is a seasoned Senior Track Engineer with extensive expertise in rail asset management\, design and operations. Currently\, Amel manages Track and Civil Standards and enhances Asset Management processes at UGL Regional Linx\, and is responsible for more than 2200km of operational line on the NSW Country Regional Network. Prior to joining UGL Regional Linx\, Amel has held Track Engineering and Asset Management Principal roles in BHP Iron Ore Rail\, and has previously contributed to engineering and asset management on multiple rail networks across Australia. \n

Initially as part of the Water Engineering team she managed operational and maintenance requirements of the metro dam safety program\, working closely with the field crew and leading minor works. \nTo further pursue her interests in treatment processes Chenoa then transitioned into the Wastewater engineering team\, previously based at the state’s third largest water resource recovery facility\, Subiaco. Overseeing regulatory requirements\, incident responses and process optimisation works\, she thrived in the dynamic and fast paced environment. \nNow the Senior TA for the Kwinana/ Mandurah sites she oversees eight sites including oxidation ditch\, pond\, and membrane treatment facilities. \nThriving for sustainable outcomes in recycling and processing performance improvements she aims for optimal outcomes in identifying and addressing operational limitations. Feeding in lessons learnt and field technical expertise to future projects. \nNyssa MacManus\, Senior Advisor Maintenance Solutions\, Rio Tinto \nNyssa is an experienced asset management professional with a wide knowledge base in engineering\, execution\, frontline leadership\, and maintenance solution roles over her time in the industry. She graduated with a double degree in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. \nHer career stretched from the oil fields of Louisiana to the bauxite hills of Far North Queensland and the red dirt of Pilbara\, Western Australia. While working she has completed her master’s in engineering and technology Management \nNyssa has had exposure to the ‘whole of life’ asset philosophy through her various roles in the industry\, which has allowed her to make improvements and decisions that are not only sustainable but efficient to ensure the most benefit has been obtained from the assets and is economical. \nDylan Pritchard\, Specialist – Asset Management System & Risk\, Water Corporation \nDylan Pritchard is an experienced environmental scientist and risk management specialist with a strong background in environmental consultancy and risk management in the water industry and contaminated sites. \nHe worked for an environmental consultancy prior to joining Water Corporation\, undertaking contaminated land investigations on behalf of clients in a variety of industries such as mining\, government departments and private industry. Dylan transitioned to the Water Corporation\, primarily supporting the environmental investigation of treated wastewater reuse schemes across Western Australia at public open spaces\, assessing environmental risk of these schemes to ensure water conservation and support the sustainable use of treated wastewater. \nBuilding on experience in environmental science and water management\, Dylan currently holds a position in the Asset Strategy business unit at the Water Corporation\, leading a project for the automation of risk assessments for supporting the prioritisation of expenditure.
