SUMMARY:Webinar - Systems Thinking for Land Maintenance: Integrating Digital Engineering\, Analytics and Machine Learning for Sustainment Optimisation
DESCRIPTION:Modern sustainment environments are becoming increasingly complex\, requiring organisations to move beyond siloed maintenance approaches toward integrated\, enterprise-wide systems thinking. This webinar explores how Systems Thinking principles\, combined with Digital Engineering (DE)\, Machine Learning (ML)\, and advanced analytics\, can support smarter and more effective land maintenance and sustainment outcomes. \nThe session will present a high-level model-based approach to maintenance optimisation\, demonstrating how data-driven decision-making and integrated digital ecosystems can improve operational effectiveness while maintaining technical integrity and assurance. \nKey themes will include: \n\nApplying Systems Thinking to maintenance and sustainment environments\nLeveraging Digital Engineering and Machine Learning to improve maintenance decision-making\nReducing inefficiencies\, delays\, and wastage across sustainment processes\nEnhancing visibility\, governance\, and enterprise integration through data and analytics\nBalancing cost optimisation with technical integrity and capability assurance\n\nThe webinar will also discuss the growing importance of integrated engineering ecosystems\, enterprise data alignment\, and advanced analytics in shaping the future of Defence and complex asset sustainment. \nClick here to register\n  \nPresenters: \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Manas Dhiman is a Systems Engineer with a biomedical engineering background and experience across defence health capability\, vehicle sustainment\, and enterprise systems. She holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering and has developed her career working across complex\, integrated Defence programs. She spent three years in Land Division supporting JP2060 Phase 3 – Deployable Health Facilities\, contributing to the delivery and sustainment of deployable health capability. SUMMARY:Online Workshop 1 of 4 - Human-AI Boundary Framework for Asset Management Project (Knowing the Asset)
DESCRIPTION:AI is rapidly entering asset management — but where should it support decision-making\, and where must humans remain responsible? This online workshop series invites AMCouncil members and asset management professionals to explore the Human–AI Boundary in asset management\, sharing practical examples\, concerns and insights across the asset lifecycle to help shape future AMCouncil guidance. \nOnline Workshop 1 of 4 – Human-AI Boundary Framework for Asset Management Project\nTitle: Knowing the Asset\nPurpose: Explore how AI can help organisations understand what assets they have\, what they know about them\, and where asset information is incomplete. \nFocus areas: Asset registers\, drawings and manuals\, inspection photos\, field notes\, work orders\, document extraction\, data cleansing\, tacit knowledge capture\, digital twins\, knowledge graphs. \nCore Question: “Can AI help us know our assets better\, or will it amplify poor asset information?” \nParticipant Expectations: Attend one or more online workshops\, respond to live polls\, contribute questions or comments\, complete a short post-session survey \nBenefits to Participants: 1hr CPD point per online workshop\, access to workshop notes\, exposure to collective emerging AI-in-AM thinking\, chance to shape AMCouncil guidance\, opportunity to hear cross-sector examples \nClick here to register\n  \nRegister for other workshops in this series\nThis session is part of AMCouncil’s online workshop series exploring What Should AI Do in Asset Management — and What Must Humans Still Do? \nParticipants are welcome to attend one or more workshops. Each session will focus on a different asset management decision area and help shape AMCouncil’s Human–AI Boundary Framework for Asset Management. \n\nWorkshop 1: Knowing the Asset – Thursday 25 June – Register here\nWorkshop 2: Condition\, Performance and Risk – Wednesday 1 July – Register here\nWorkshop 3: Planning\, Prioritisation and Investment – Wednesday 15 July – Register here\nWorkshop 4: Work\, Operations and Intervention – Thursday 30 July – Register here
