He has developed and delivered customised change management\, problem-solving and critical thinking programs\, delivering over 3\,600 hours of structured training to more than 650 personnel. \nDuring the last 30 years\, Alan has acquired knowledge in transport assets specifically in rolling stock\, including the design\, build\, maintenance and refurbishment of passenger trains\, diesel and electric locomotives\, as well as construction\, access and earth moving equipment. Over the past five years\, Truong has supported Defence projects at Babcock\, with a particular emphasis on the Landing Helicopter Dock under ACSSPO. Currently\, Truong provides asset management services to the RAAF with ADG Ground Supporting Equipment. Truong Vu Nguyen is a Certified Practitioner in Asset Manager (CPAM). \nAkshay Athalye\, Lead Asset Lifecycle Engineer \nAkshay is a qualified Reliability and Asset Management Engineer. Although an accidental reliability engineer\, he is an advocate for great Reliability practices. He is also the host of the podcast “Reliability – It Matters”. He has worked across a diverse range of industries from bottling cold beverages to digging copper\, running trains and mammoth naval vessels. \nDavid Mangan\, MSc&Tech\, ILS Manager\, Marine \nDavid Mangan is currently the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager for Babcock\, supporting the Royal Australian Navy’s Landing Helicopter Dock/Landing Ship Dock (LHD/LSD) System Program Office. With over four years of experience in Maritime Sustainment\, David has held roles such as Asset Performance & Optimisation Manager and Seaworthiness & Engineering Assurance Manager for the LHDs. David’s career began in 1992 with Qantas as an apprentice aircraft maintenance engineer. Over 27 years\, he worked in various maintenance and quality roles\, eventually managing multiple teams across Australia and Los Angeles. David also served in the Australian Army Reserve for 10 years and has completed a Masters in Science Technology\, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering\, and a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology. Additionally\, he holds lead auditor qualifications and has undertaken numerous industry courses. \nGrahame Paton\, Senior ILS Engineering Technician\, Marine \nGrahame has worked with Babcock for the past 2 years after being in the Navy for over 30 years. Grahame has served on Submarines\, DDG’s\, FFG’s and HMAS Tobruk. Grahame has been trained and conducted maintenance on high voltage power generation and distribution\, radar operation and maintenance\, hydraulic and pneumatic systems\, LAN hardware\, explosives\, HVAC\, to name a few. Academically Grahame has completed his Masters in Reliability and Maintenance Management. With this breadth of experiences Grahame is able to bring the maintainers point of view when conducting Asset Management. \nNicholas Keltchine\, Graduate Mechatronics Engineer \nNicholas is currently in our graduate program and has worked in the defence industry for over 1 year. This includes delivering engineering support to the Landing Helicopter Dock HMAS Canberra and Adelaide\, whilst finishing his tertiary studies. Following graduation\, he is currently supporting Babcock’s High Frequency Radio Project (JP9101). Additionally\, he is also enlisted Army reservist and passionate about small arms combat in an evolving field environment.

SUMMARY:Perth - Evolving Standards in Asset Management: Insights into Global Practices and ISO Updates
DESCRIPTION:In 2024\, the Industry has seen updates to two key artefacts on asset management.  These include: \n\nISO55001\, the International Standard on Asset Management; and\nThe Asset Management Landscape Third Edition\n\nBoth these artefacts have been updated after a decade.  Representatives of the Asset Management Council have played an active role in review\, development and revision of these artefacts.  As key documents that outline good industry practice on asset management\, it is useful to get insights into the updates and their practical implications.  This session is an in-person session hosted at Western Power’s head office in Perth.  It will contain two sessions: In session 1: Ankur Maheshwari will walk us through the updates in The Asset Management Landscape (the Third edition) and their practical implications.   Ankur will provide a perspective of what the changes mean in practical sense\, not just an academic view.  Ankur was Asset Management Councils project manager for review phase of the Asset Management Landscape and Asset Management Council lead for a section during the revision phase of the Landscape. In session 2: Martin Kerr (Convener of ISO55001:2024) will walk us through the ISO550xx suite and provide insights into how it was developed\, some of the considerations and challenges\, and\, of course\, what it means for those who are already certified and for those who are looking to become certified. Martin will provide a change management perspective\, not just an academic view of the standard. \nClick here to register\n  \n\nAbout the Speakers:\nAnkur Maheshwari\nAnkur Maheshwari is a highly experienced\, seasoned asset management professional with over three decades of experience in a wide range of techno-commercial aspects of asset management in the utility\, manufacturing and industrial sectors. He is currently Technical Director Asia Pacific with AMCL Consulting. He has hands on experience in envisioning\, leading and implementing asset management improvements that improve organisations ability to extract most value from its assets. Ankur’s commitment and dedication to the field is evident in his active involvement in Asset Management Council for many years. He project managed the review of the Landscape’s second edition in preparation for its revision. More recently he led the team of volunteer representatives who provided the contribution to the development of one subject in the Asset Management Landscape’s third edition. \nMartin Kerr\, Director\, Structured Change\, \nMartin is a passionate Asset Management and Change Management professional. During the day\, with Structured Change and Applying Asset Management\, he assists organisations in developing their Asset Management Systems\, preparing them for ISO Certification. Martin delivers WPiAM-accredited Asset Management training and supports organisations’ change management roadmaps to adopt and embed asset management. Martin was the Lead Convenor for ISO55001:2024 and is the Technical Director for the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) (CAMA and Global Certification Scheme)
