SUMMARY:Webinar - Application of a diagnostic algorithm for performance monitoring of solar electric power generation assets
DESCRIPTION:Data driven sustainable asset management that applies a diagnostics algorithm to actively monitor the performance of solar electric power generation assets. This results in data driven maintenance activity decisions in combination with the asset owners’ financial interests\, ensuring the optimum balance between performance and financial drivers. \n  \nClick here to register\n  \nAbout the speaker: \nEarl Duran\, Tech Lead\, Diagno Energy \nEarl is a quantitative scientist whose thesis centered on exploring the drivers of climate change in Australia using climate big data. Today\, he holds a key role as a Tech Lead at Diagno Energy\, where he leads the development of a renewable asset optimization service\, integrating his expertise in product development and machine learning. Earl and his team at Diagno Energy are addressing major inefficiencies in the operation and maintenance of solar and enhancing fault detection and diagnostic methods for commercial and industrial solar. \n  \n\n \n \nThis session forms the final in a webinar series presented by MRiAM – Safe and Smart: Use of Technology for Remote Monitoring of Assets. \nHow do we remove people from dangerous conditions and situations and do our remote monitoring smarter? The Maintenance & Reliability in Asset Management special interest group presents this 5-part series where we look at different types of technologies that can be employed to reduce the risk to people and property. \nJoin us online and take the opportunity to look into techniques that are less familiar and can be adapted to your industry\, or learn more about what others are doing within your own industry! \nRegistering for this session will register you for all five sessions in the series: \n\n9 Aug | 12pm AEST: Application of remote condition monitoring technologies for Hydro Tasmania’s civil infrastructure\n15 Aug | 12pm AEST: Safe and smart digital technology used to safeguard industrial assets and workers\n22 Aug | 1pm AEST: Enhancing asset condition assessment for potable water storages through the use of robotic technology\n29 Aug | 12pm AEST: Remote Water Pipe Leakage Monitoring in Perth CBD\n5 Sep | 12pm AEST: Application of a diagnostic algorithm for performance monitoring of solar electric power generation assets

SUMMARY:Webinar - TC251 ISO55001x Review update
DESCRIPTION:Martin Kerr is the AMCouncil representative on the Standards Australia MB-19 Committee which is the Australian mirror committee for the International ISO/TC251 Committee.  The ISO/TC251 committee is the group that looks after the ISO5500x group of Asset Management standards. \nIn this presentation Martin will provide an overview of the groups of asset management standards and the work of the ISO/TC251 committee in review and update of these standards.  He will detail changes to the standards and advise how you can contribute to the work of the committee and provide feedback to these important standards. \n  \nClick here to register\n  \nAbout the speaker: \nMartin Kerr is our representative on MB-19 and the current convener of ISO55001. Martin is a Certified Fellow in Asset Management (CFAM) and a Certified Asset Management Assessor (CAMA). Martin is the founder of Structured Change Pty Ltd\, co-author of Living Asset Management Maturity\, an active AMBok team member and an Asset Management Maturity Assessor for the Council. Martin is also the Technical Manager of the WPiAM CAMA team and a project member at the GFMAM.

SUMMARY:Webinar - Data as an Asset - Mapping infrastructure management principles to datasets
DESCRIPTION:Data is increasingly being recognized as a valuable commodity that supports an increasing variety of business functions. However\, while it has become well recognized that good management of our ‘hard’ infrastructure benefits from the application of asset management principles\, the concept of data (in all its many varieties) as an infrastructure asset to be managed is still developing. \nIn this webinar\, we explore the nature of data as an infrastructure asset\, and how traditional asset management concepts such as value\, level-of-service and expected life can be adapted to this novel asset class. Additionally\, we discuss the distinction between management of data storage (which can be considered tangible) from management of the underlying\, intangible\, data itself. \n  \nClick here to register\n  \nAbout the speakers: \nRobert Radovanovic is an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. His specialization includes leveraging spatial data from sources such as laser scanners\, unmanned aerial vehicles and embedded sensors to develop infrastructure asset inventories\, monitor performance and assess risk resiliency. Robert is heavily involved in developing curriculum for students in the fundamentals of asset management\, and how it ties into long-term sustainable outcomes for communities. \nTanya Hegmann is a recent graduate of the Masters of Engineering program at the University of Calgary and a registered Engineer-In-Training with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta. Her specialization is in the field of Geographic Information Systems\, and she was an inaugural participant in the Asset Management for Sustainable Infrastructure course series developed at the University of Calgary. Her research work has focused in the application of asset management principles to datasets holdings\, with a goal of improving the consistent valuation of an intangible asset class.

SUMMARY:Webinar - How real time asset performance Information Leads to Substantial Costs Savings – a case study from the water industry
DESCRIPTION:Sydney Water has installed sensors on wastewater gravity pipes across its wastewater network allowing potential blockages to be identified and cleaned before an overflow occurs.  This program has reportedly saved approx $400k per month in avoidance costs.   Christoph Prackwieser\, Iot Manger at Sydney Water will present at our lunch time webinar providing an insight into how the adopted sensor technology can assist an organisation in obtaining real time performance information about its assets and introduce the concepts of predictive maintenance. \n  \nClick here to register\n  \nAbout the speaker: \nChristoph Prackwieser\, IoT Manager\, Sydney Water. \nBefore moving to Australia\, Chris was the Principal Consultant for an esteemed international software and consultancy company. Having joined Sydney Water in 2013\, he has managed the delivery of several high-profile business improvement projects\, implemented a 5-year planning process for treatment assets and led the process design for the Customer Hub implementation.  Since then\, Chris managed Sydney Water’s Internet of Things initiative\, at first as a project manager and now more strategically as the IoT Manager.
