SUMMARY:Perth - Evolving Standards in Asset Management: Insights into Global Practices and ISO Updates
DESCRIPTION:In 2024\, the Industry has seen updates to two key artefacts on asset management.  These include: \n\nISO55001\, the International Standard on Asset Management; and\nThe Asset Management Landscape Third Edition\n\nBoth these artefacts have been updated after a decade.  Representatives of the Asset Management Council have played an active role in review\, development and revision of these artefacts.  As key documents that outline good industry practice on asset management\, it is useful to get insights into the updates and their practical implications.  This session is an in-person session hosted at Western Power’s head office in Perth.  It will contain two sessions: In session 1: Ankur Maheshwari will walk us through the updates in The Asset Management Landscape (the Third edition) and their practical implications.   Ankur will provide a perspective of what the changes mean in practical sense\, not just an academic view.  Ankur was Asset Management Councils project manager for review phase of the Asset Management Landscape and Asset Management Council lead for a section during the revision phase of the Landscape. In session 2: Martin Kerr (Convener of ISO55001:2024) will walk us through the ISO550xx suite and provide insights into how it was developed\, some of the considerations and challenges\, and\, of course\, what it means for those who are already certified and for those who are looking to become certified. Martin will provide a change management perspective\, not just an academic view of the standard. \nClick here to register\n  \n\nAbout the Speakers:\nAnkur Maheshwari\nAnkur Maheshwari is a highly experienced\, seasoned asset management professional with over three decades of experience in a wide range of techno-commercial aspects of asset management in the utility\, manufacturing and industrial sectors. He is currently Technical Director Asia Pacific with AMCL Consulting. He has hands on experience in envisioning\, leading and implementing asset management improvements that improve organisations ability to extract most value from its assets. Ankur’s commitment and dedication to the field is evident in his active involvement in Asset Management Council for many years. He project managed the review of the Landscape’s second edition in preparation for its revision. More recently he led the team of volunteer representatives who provided the contribution to the development of one subject in the Asset Management Landscape’s third edition. \nMartin Kerr\, Director\, Structured Change\, \nMartin is a passionate Asset Management and Change Management professional. During the day\, with Structured Change and Applying Asset Management\, he assists organisations in developing their Asset Management Systems\, preparing them for ISO Certification. Martin delivers WPiAM-accredited Asset Management training and supports organisations’ change management roadmaps to adopt and embed asset management. Martin was the Lead Convenor for ISO55001:2024 and is the Technical Director for the World Partners in Asset Management (WPiAM) (CAMA and Global Certification Scheme)
