DESCRIPTION:The ISO/TC 251 committee continues to evolve the Standards. Work is currently underway to update ISO 55001:2018 to bring it into alignment with the 2024 versions of ISO 55000 and ISO 55001. A new guideline Standard\, ISO 55014\, is also being developed to expand upon and replace Annex D of ISO 55002:2018. \nThe working group responsible for ISO/TS 55010 – Asset management — Guidance on the alignment of financial and non-financial functions in asset management – is seeking to convert this technical specification into a formal Standard. \nTwo new groups have been formed: \n\nAd-hoc Group 5 on Sustainability and Asset Management: Asset Life Cycle Management incorporating Sustainability and Digitalisation practices.\nTask Group 4: Audit to ISO/TC 251 Products\, established to support the committee’s objectives and approach around auditing.\n\nAdditional Product Improvement Proposals (PIPs) are also under development. \nYour input will be sought! \nClick here to register \n\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			\n		 \n		\n			Tom Carpenter\, BE (Civil) ME (Systems)\, Grad Cert AM\, Grad Dip AM\, TAE\, CAMA\, CFAM\, MESA Medallist. Tom has been a member of the AM Council for over 15 years\, has been an active member of ISO TC 251\, and participated in the original development of ISO 55001:2014\, ISO 55002:2014\, ISO 17021-5 and ISO 55002:2018 and is currently participating in development of the new versions of ISO 55001 and ISO 55002. Tom developed and delivers IQ-AM’s CAMA\, Grad Cert and Grad Diploma training programs\, is the originator of the JAS-ANZ Accreditation Scheme for ISO 55001\, and the WPiAM certification scheme. He has trained multiple people in AM across nearly all industry sectors. He has assisted multiple organisations in implementing Asset Management and ISO 55001 Accredited Certification Schemes. He has participated in ISO’s revision of its master template for Management System Standards and their Joint Task Force on Risk.
