On 15th May Queensland Audit Office tabled a report in parliament concerning “Local Government Entities financial audit results 2017-18”. Amongst the recommendations is Recommendation 5 that asks that councils “continue to assess their processes for ensuring that asset registers are complete and remain current over time” as councils cant plan properly and manager their activities without complete and accurate asset information.
