Sydney Chapter Event

The next Sydney technical meeting will be held on Thursday 30 June 2011 and will present a case study on asset management within the organisation Jemena.

The case study will cover the development of the Primary Receiving Station (PRS) Strategy. PRS are a critical part of the gas network system and are approximately 40 years old.

Brisbane Chapter News: Summary of first technical session for 2011

We had our first technical session on 12 April 2011 with at least 20 members and guests in attendance. Our speaker was Joe Mathew from CIEAM. Joe spoke about new paradigms in infrastructure asset management and provided an overview of the research program being undertaken by CIEAM. A key theme of his presentation was that we should use information to make informed decisions about asset management.

Our next technical session will be held on 31 May 2011 with Gary West speaking about Rio Tinto’s journey into the reliability domain.

Perth Chapter News: Presentation at IPWEA

P1010221_2Melinda Hodkiewicz (Western Australia Chapter Committee) (right) and Andrew Morgan (Western Australia Chapter Chair) (centre) recently presented at IPWEA’s monthly lunch (Institute of Public Works Engineering Australia). The lunch was held at the City of Cockburn shire offices and hosted by local IPWEA Chapter Chair Glyn Davis (left) from the Armidale City Council.
