Adelaide 28 June Pic 2Great to see an enthusiastic audience at last night's Adelaide's networking and technical meet. First up was Andrei Ezergailis, ASC Pty Ltd's CCSM LifCycle Manager, who flew in from Perth to go over ASC's journey to ISO55001's certification and the lessons learned from it.

Andrei took the group through a short history of the ASC; a description of the Submarine Enterprise which supports the submarine capabilty and of which ASC in a member; the actions ASC went through in order to establish the necessary systems and procedures to satisfy ISO55001; and the actual certification process itself. This prompted a lot of questions from the audience and Andrei's presentation was well received.

Next up was PhD student from the University of Adelaide presenting his work to date on asset management within the water sector. Ashkan's take on the 'fuzzy theory', centralability, reliability and vulnerability were very interesting, as was his case study on the water network so far and we can't wait to see the paper when it's finished.

Dr Anne Gibbs, AMCouncil's CEO, was also at the event and had the absolute pleasure in announcing a strategic partnership with ASC, a leader in asset management in the defence sector. Close collaboration between the AMCouncil and ASC over the next twelve months will significantly contribute to the AMCouncil's body of knowledge and in turn enable ASC to take advantage of cross-sector opportunities available in order to continue upwards on their asset management maturity journey. We welcome ASC to the AMC Community and are excited for what the future will bring as a result of this key collaboration.

Check out some snaps taken at the event below and see if you can spot a familiar face.

We're looking forward to Adelaide's next networking and technical meet on 30th August. Come along to hear from Ben Kidd, ASC's Lifecycle Engineering Manager, as he explores the evolution of submarine deep layup maintenance as it delivers quantifiable step increase in asset availability and affordability.
