The DoT Asset Management Journey
The Department of Transport started it’s journey of AMAF implementation from 2016-17. During the past years the processes of AMAF implementation and assurance have matured. This presentation explores the journey to date, the challenges and its way forward.

Hessam is Manager Asset Performance and Assurance at the Department of Transport. He coordinates the implementation and assurance against the Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) for the transport portfolio in Victoria. Hessam is a Civil Engineer with Masters in Structures from Melbourne University and PhD in Infrastructure Management from RMIT. He has years of experience in Strategic Asset Management in private and public sectors, research in Asset Management and Emergency Management and worked in engineering consultancies in Australia and overseas.
