Webinar – Fleet Asset Management For the Lifecycle

26 February @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am AEDT
FREE FOR ALL

Join us to explore Fleet Asset Management – For the Lifecycle, featuring:

  • Rachel Scott, Director, Asset Management Associates, will unpack the meaning of “value” in the context of a major Defence program, framing it as measurable improvements in cost, time and quality across the asset lifecycle. Drawing on her work on the $46 billion Hunter Class Frigate Program, Rachel will demonstrate how a disciplined application of asset management principles delivers real financial savings, reduces schedule risk and strengthens engineering governance, while improving the reliability and availability of complex naval systems. She will show how data-driven planning, life-cycle optimisation and integrated logistics strategies translate directly into cost avoidance, increased materiel readiness and higher-quality sustainment outcomes. With a background as a Royal Australian Navy Weapons Electrical Engineering Officer and a career supporting large acquisition and sustainment programs, Rachel brings practical, evidence-based insights into how value is created — and protected — when asset management is well embedded.
  • Mark Mackenzie, Director, One North, will present a case study on how Kumba Iron Ore measurably improved fleet uptime through an approach that calculated savings and improvements with a high degree of accuracy. Both modelling and simulation were employed to project fleet availability targets. Mark has had a distinguished career in the Australian Army and has worked extensively in Australia and overseas across a variety of roles and industries. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Engineer, and a Certified Fellow of Asset Management. He is also a Fellow of Engineers Australia and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Western Australia.

The presentations will be followed by a Discussion Panel with Rachel Scott, Mark Mackenzie, Nick Phillips, Mike Bordenaro and Peter Kohler to answer your questions.
