The AMCouncil Melbourne Chapter held its AGM on Tuesday 31 March, with strong interest in this year’s executive positions and several candidates putting themselves forward.

We congratulate Andrew Sarah on being re-elected as Chair for another term, and warmly welcome Shuwen Ling and Tom Carpenter as the Chapter’s new co-Vice Chairs.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Peter Robinson, who stepped into the Vice Chair role last year following the departure of the previous Vice Chair who moved overseas. We are delighted that Peter will remain involved as a valued member of the committee in a general capacity.

Congratulations also to Ghazal Boroumand, who has been elected as Secretary. We thank Anjaly Malani for the wonderful job she has done in the role over the past two years, and we are pleased that she will continue to contribute as a general committee member.

The Melbourne Chapter general committee for 2026/27 will also include the following dedicated professionals: Yuji Chichibu, Gerard Domingo, Joy Gleeson, Tim Gowland, Julia Kelley, Svetlana Makoutonina, Jamie Maslen, Michael Mowat, Raymond Ngo, Dean Price, Shane Scriven, Indy Sehra, Vikrant Sharma, Ian Thomas, David Washbrook and Mary Zhang.

We also acknowledge and thank outgoing committee members Rohin Mathew, and to Luke Vaughan who was part of the committee for several years. Their contribution, commitment and support of the Melbourne Chapter are greatly appreciated.

We thank all committee members for their willingness to contribute their time and expertise to support the AMCouncil community, and we look forward to another strong year for the Melbourne Chapter Committee for 26/27
