Melbourne – Managing Ageing Infrastructure at Scale: A Local Government Perspective

21 May @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm AEST
FREE FOR MEMBERS

Join the AMCouncil Melbourne Chapter in the Melbourne CBD on 21 May, from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, for a technical presentation exploring the challenges local government faces in managing large volumes of ageing assets — both physical and digital.

Presented by Tze-Sian Hor, Coordinator Asset Management & Systems, Environment & Infrastructure at the City of Stonnington, this session will share practical insights from asset-focused, enterprise-wide business process mapping across key asset classes. Tze-Sian will discuss current and future state mapping, AMIS requirements development, governance uplift, data standards, asset hierarchy considerations, and the importance of aligning asset processes with finance, works management and broader corporate systems.

The presentation will also highlight real-world lessons around system limitations, change management and cross-department alignment, offering valuable takeaways for anyone involved in asset management, digital transformation or local government infrastructure planning.
