This seminar will investigate the key competencies of a reliability engineer and seek attendees input into the core skills that make them effective. There will be presentations showcasing the benefits of reliability engineering. Following the presentations will be an AGM for the WA Chapter of the AMC. The seminar will finish with drinks, finger food and an opportunity to network.

Presenters:
Melinda Hodkiewicz – from the University of WA will present the development of the Reliability Engineering Competencies and facilitate a workshop for attendees to share their ideas.
Zahra Jabiri – from Western Power will share some case studies into improving plant reliability by addressing its maintainability and maintenance requirements.
Paul Brades – from Rio Tinto Iron Ore will present the root cause analysis of a manufacturing defect and the actions to identify and prevent the recurrence of the fault.
Mark Ho – from the University of WA will present how using pooled data can improve data quality for decision making support models. Case Study: CRC Mining Equipment Reliability Database.
