Asset Management Council Programs

The strength of our Association is built on the dedication of the many individuals who contribute their time and energy to furthering the profession of Asset Management in Australia.

We rely on this support in the delivery of programs that support our membership base and enhance asset management frameworks, understanding and knowledge.

We encourage qualified individuals to consider offering their skills though:

Mentoring

The AM Council’s Mentoring Program aims to facilitate mentoring partnerships where experienced mentors can share advice, knowledge, and experiences with mentees, resulting in a mutually beneficial professional development relationship.
It pairs developing asset management professionals seeking guidance and support with more experienced practitioners who are willing to commit time and energy to the professional development of another practitioner. The length and duration of each mentoring relationship is up to each pair to decide – some relationships might go for 1 month, others for 6 months.
We use the online platform Brancher to deliver support to both mentors and mentees through their mentoring journey, with access to training materials and resources. Mentors and mentees will be entitled to claim up to 8 CPD points per year that they remain active in the program.
Download our Mentoring Guide for further information and to apply, access the Mentoring Application Form via the Membership portal.

Volunteer Opportunities

The AM Council often requires representation on specific working groups or projects of interest to the wider Asset Management community. Our members represent industry in forums, on panels, on research programs both within Australia and Internationally and in developing standards for the industry and advancing the skills of workers.
We also have opportunities for volunteer participation as part of our annual AMPEAK conference – as conference paper reviewers, and as logistics/hall managers.
