The Asset Management Council’s Adelaide Chapter recently welcomed members and guests for Digital Assets in the Built Environment: From Strategy to Operational Intelligence, presented by Rebecca De Cicco FCIOB, Director of Built Digital SA and Founder & Global Chair of Women in BIM.
Rebecca explored the importance of thinking about digital assets as an ongoing information capability — not simply something delivered at project handover. The session looked at how asset owners can establish their digital and information requirements early, embed these requirements into procurement and delivery, and ensure asset information remains trusted, current and useful throughout the operational life of an asset.
The discussion highlighted the importance of governance, clearly defined responsibilities, capable people and connected systems in turning digital information into better asset management decisions.
Thank you to Rebecca for sharing her experience and insights, and to everyone who joined the Adelaide Chapter for the session.
Events such as these provide an important opportunity for our asset management community to share knowledge, explore emerging practice and connect with colleagues across industry.
