AMCouncil AMBoK Team Member, Martin Kerr, represented the Asset Management Council at the ISO TC251 (ISO5500x) committee meeting in Amersfoort, The Netherlands 22nd to 26th October 2018.
TC251 is a technical committee (TC) that looks after the ISO55xxx suite of documents. The committee is made up of several working groups, one of which is looking at Communications and Marketing under the auspice of Working Group 3, WG3.

The Asset Management Council is proud to have Broadspectrum as a partnering organisation and we are delighted to hear that they have teamed up with Reconciliation Australia to recently launch their fourth Reconciliation Action Plan. As Andrea Kelly, Reconciliation Australia’s Deputy Chief Exective Officer, is quoted in the related press release: “Broadspectrum has been helping to blaze the trail for reconciliation for almost ten years. Australia’s sovereign submarine sustainer, ASC, will work with Australia’s leading Asset Management experts to strengthen its life-cycle management execution of the Collins Class submarine fleet, under a new partnership with the Asset Management Council (AMCouncil) of Australia.
The move follows ASC becoming the first Australian defence company recognised with international certification for asset management for defence assets – awarded by BSI International in April 2018.
