Melbourne – ISO55000 Standards, changes and progress by Tom Carpenter

30 July @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm AEST
FREE FOR MEMBERS

The ISO/TC 251 committee continues to evolve the Standards. Work is currently underway to update ISO 55001:2018 to bring it into alignment with the 2024 versions of ISO 55000 and ISO 55001. A new guideline Standard, ISO 55014, is also being developed to expand upon and replace Annex D of ISO 55002:2018.

The working group responsible for ISO/TS 55010 – Asset management — Guidance on the alignment of financial and non-financial functions in asset management – is seeking to convert this technical specification into a formal Standard.

Two new groups have been formed:

  • Ad-hoc Group 5 on Sustainability and Asset Management: Asset Life Cycle Management incorporating Sustainability and Digitalisation practices.
  • Task Group 4: Audit to ISO/TC 251 Products, established to support the committee’s objectives and approach around auditing.

Additional Product Improvement Proposals (PIPs) are also under development.

Your input will be sought!
