It was a full house at last night’s Melbourne Chapter technical event as asset management professionals gathered to hear from Tom Carpenter on the latest developments in the ISO 55000 family of standards.
Tom, a long-time AMCouncil member and globally recognised contributor to ISO/TC 251, provided deep insights into the ongoing evolution of ISO 55001:2018, efforts to align it with the upcoming 2024 versions of ISO 55000 and 55001, and the development of the new guideline standard ISO 55014.
He also shared updates on ISO/TS 55010’s transition towards a formal Standard and introduced new working groups focused on sustainability, digitalisation, and auditing within the asset management landscape. With changes on the horizon, Tom encouraged attendees to stay engaged—input from the broader asset management community will be critical.
