Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week’s AMCouncil New Zealand Chapter event, Strengthening Asset Management Practice, held in Wellington and online.
The event brought together attendees for three insightful presentations focused on current priorities and practical approaches to strengthening asset management practice. Topics included current focus areas in PlanRight, a systems approach to asset risk, investment timing and service performance in metro rail, and the development of asset management competency frameworks and organisational training curriculums.
A big thank you to our speakers — Rochelle Leach (NZTA), Obinna Akaa (KiwiRail) and Matt Spooner (Transpower) — for sharing their expertise and practical perspectives. Thank you also to the AMCouncil New Zealand Chapter for organising the event and bringing together both in-person and online participants for a valuable afternoon of learning and discussion.
The presentations from the event are now available for the broader membership to access here [insert link].
It was a strong reminder of the importance of capability development, integrated decision-making and continual improvement in strengthening asset management practice across sectors.
