This is more than a refreshed website. It is a new digital home for AMCouncil members, designed to help asset management professionals access knowledge, manage their professional development and build confidence in the use of AI.

The new member portal makes it easier to find and use the benefits of AMCouncil membership.
From CPD and certification to chapter events, resources and member services, the information and actions members use most are now available in one place, with fewer clicks and a smoother experience.
Whether you are logging professional development, finding an upcoming event, checking your certification pathway or looking for trusted asset management guidance, the portal has been designed to make these tasks faster and easier.
Meet AMai: your asset management AI assistant
One of the most exciting features of the new portal is AMai, AMCouncil’s trusted AI assistant.
AMai is more than a chatbot. It has been built to answer questions using AMCouncil’s own Asset Management Body of Knowledge, giving members access to guidance that is grounded in the profession’s recognised knowledge base.
Most AI tools draw their answers from the open internet. AMai is different. It draws on AMCouncil’s Asset Management Body of Knowledge, helping members access information that is relevant, reliable and made for asset management practice.
AMai can also help members take action. Through the portal, members can ask AMai to assist with tasks such as logging CPD, finding upcoming AMCouncil meetings or events, and supporting their professional development journey.
Members can start by asking AMai questions such as:
- “Summarise the key stages of the asset management lifecycle.”
- “What competencies do I need to progress my certification?”
- “Log my CPD for the workshop I attended last week.”
- “Find an upcoming chapter event near me and enrol me.”
AMai can be used directly inside the member portal, and members can also connect it to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and others, making AMCouncil knowledge available wherever they work.
Nexus: a free AI course for members
The new portal also gives members access to Nexus, a free AI course built specifically for asset managers.
AI is already changing how asset management work gets done. From decision support and data analysis to maintenance planning, risk assessment and knowledge management, asset management professionals are increasingly being asked to understand how AI can be used safely, effectively and responsibly.
Nexus has been developed to give members a practical head start. It helps asset management professionals build confidence with AI and understand how it can support their work, their organisations and the future of the profession.
The course is available to members through the portal and can be completed at their own pace.

Members can access the new portal at https://app.amcouncil.com.au using their AMCouncil member email address
If you have not yet set a password, simply choose “Email me a code” and a one-time login code will be sent to you.
The best place to start is AMai. Log in, ask your first question, and explore what your new member portal can do.
