Webinar – Monash University’s Asset Data Capture Project

This presentation will focus on how Monash University’s Buildings and Property has delivered a multistage project to strengthen asset information governance and unify fragmented building services asset registers into a single, standards-based campus-wide register.

Guided by the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) Asset Management Accountability Framework (AMAF) requirements, the project established clear asset information requirements (guardrails), standardised data models, and consistent processes for internal teams and external service providers.

Implementation was supported through targeted training, pilot programs, and streamlined data acquisition and consolidation activities. The resulting asset register provides a reliable foundation for whole-of-life, evidence-based decision-making, enhancing compliance, risk management, planning capability, and overall portfolio performance management.
