The Asset Management Council’s Perth Chapter recently welcomed students and emerging professionals to AMC Sprint: Fast Track to Asset Management, held at Curtin University on 24 September.

Designed as an interactive introduction to asset management, the event challenged participants to work in teams on a real-world asset management case study. With guidance from experienced industry coaches, teams explored opportunities for improvement, considered risk and priorities, and developed practical solutions before presenting their recommendations to a panel of industry judges.

The evening provided participants with an opportunity to experience how asset management principles are applied in practice, while also learning more about the profession, its many applications across industry and the career opportunities available.

A big thank you to Perth Chapter Committee members Jakob Verhoef and Stefan Oosthuizen for facilitating the session, and to our judging panel Sandy Dunn, Dimitra Pierros and Ernst Krauss CFAM for generously sharing their time, experience and feedback.

Thank you also to everyone who participated and helped make the evening such an engaging introduction to the world of asset management.
