On the morning of 22 October, the delegation visited the China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) for a meeting on asset management standards practice in China, Australia and New Zealand. CNIS Vice President Lu Lili took part, together with colleagues from the Division of High-Tech Standardization, the International Standardization Research Center and China Standard Science and Technology Group.
CNIS is China’s counterpart to ISO/TC 251 Asset Management and holds the secretariat of the national asset management standards committee, SAC/TC 583. Vice President Lu Lili introduced the Institute, and the Division of High-Tech Standardization outlined China’s adoption of the ISO 55000 series as national standards (GB/T 33172, 33173 and 33174), supporting tools including an ISO 55001 self-assessment checklist, maturity assessment guidance and Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) templates, China’s contribution to the new ISO 55012 and ISO 55013, and implementation examples such as Beijing Daxing International Airport.
Ms McPate described the Australian context: managing extensive, ageing infrastructure across a continent with a population of about 27 million, which puts a premium on prioritising investment, managing risk and directing effort where it delivers the greatest value. The two sides then discussed asset management maturity, the difference between asset management and maintenance management, criticality and prioritisation, aligning standards with practice, managing data assets, balancing automation and human judgement in AI, and the role of certification and professional capability.
“Although our countries operate in different infrastructure and economic contexts, many of the fundamental asset management challenges are shared,” said Ms McPate.
Both sides agreed to use the visit as a basis for ongoing technical communication and further exchange.
澳大利亚资产管理委员会代表团访问中国标准化研究院
2026年10月22日上午，澳大利亚资产管理委员会代表团访问中国标准化研究院，就中澳资产管理标准化实践开展座谈交流。中国标准化研究院副院长卢丽丽，以及高新技术标准化研究所，国际标准化研究中心，以及中国标准科技集团有限公司有关人员参加会谈。
中国标准化研究院对口国际标准化组织资产管理技术委员会（ISO/TC 251），承担全国资产管理标准化技术委员会（SAC/TC 583）秘书处工作。会上，卢丽丽副院长介绍了标准院整体情况，高新技术标准化研究所介绍了我国资产管理标准化工作，包括ISO 55000系列标准转化为国家标准（GB/T 33172、33173、33174），配套的ISO 55001自评估清单、资产管理成熟度评估指南和战略资产管理计划（SAMP）模板，参与ISO 55012、ISO 55013国际标准制定，以及北京大兴国际机场等单位的实施案例。
麦克佩特主席结合澳大利亚地域广、人口相对较少、基础设施老化的特点，介绍了澳新在投资优先级、风险管理和价值导向资产管理方面的实践。双方围绕资产管理成熟度、资产管理与维修管理的区别、资产关键性与优先级、标准与实践的衔接、数据资产管理、人工智能应用中自动化与人工判断的平衡，以及认证与专业能力建设等议题进行了深入研讨。
麦克佩特主席表示：“尽管两国的基础设施和经济背景不同，资产管理面临的许多根本性挑战是相通的。”
双方表示，将以此次访问为契机，持续保持技术沟通，推进后续交流。会后双方合影留念。
