It was a full house event for the Asset Management Workshop held on 23rd November jointly organised by Federation University Australia and the Gippsland Chapter of the Asset Management Council.
More than 40 delegates from Industry, professional bodies and FedUni attended this event. Feedback received from delegates was outstanding.
Gopinath Chattopadhyay, Post Graduate Program Coordinator for the Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Program of Federation University (previously Monash University Program) and Chair of the Asset Management Council’s Gippsland Chapter welcomed delegates and presented a session on Increasing your Maintenance Integrity and ROI with ISO55000.
Ben Staples, former Asset Management Strategy Specialist, Metro Trains Melbourne presented a session on Measuring the Value Asset Management Delivers to Organisations.
Sandy Dunn, Managing Director Assetivity presented on Managing Human Error in Maintenance.
Steven Wilcox presented a session on Oxy-coal combustion monitoring and control.
Iain McDougall, Manager Information Technology, East Gippsland Water, presented IoT @ East Gippsland Water and a collaborative project with Federation University Australia.
Gopinath Chattopadhyay, Chapter Chair Gippsland of Asset management Council chaired the discussion forum on:
- Issues and challenges in Asset Management, Maintenance and Reliability Engineering
- How to build Industry, University and Professional Body synergies for finding cost effective solutions through collaboration and cooperation.
Delegates engaged in discussion and suggested ways forward for a long term Industry and University relationship to make it work. There was excellent opportunity for professional networking during the afternoon tea sponsored by Federation University Australia and at the conclusion of the event.
