Putting continuous linear data into a useable format  –Tom Birdseye

The rail industry currently has data measurement vehicles that travel along the track and continuously measure a large number of statistics about the asset.
These historically produced data traces that have only been usable by a handful of technical engineers. Tom will show how a simple piece of data displaying software can make these massive data sets readable and useful for an asset manager.

Asset Component Management –Anthony Roe

Maintenance Engineer with Norsk Hydro in downstream Petro- Chemical Industry. Anthony will discuss why Asset Reliability, Asset Health and Asset Availability are back in the top 5 issues in the boardroom with a view to reducing operational costs, and capital spending whilst mitigating business continuity.
Anthony will also create discussion points on how to enable “condition based Maintenance strategies”

ASC’s Changing Roll in Asset Management –Emily Spurling

Emily Spurling is currently the “10+2 UUC Transformation” Program Manager and the Forward Planning Manager at ASC Pty Ltd. These roles involve her in the current transformation of maintenance and management of Collins Class submarines and the allocation of upgrades to the submarines.
Emily’s 21 year involvement in submarines and Defence started when she joined the navy and has seen her fill roles including Weapons Engineering Head of Department in submarines; Technical Production Manager responsible for the Navy’s maintenance workshops at HMAS STIRLING; consultant on the AWD in the area of underwater weapons; and Platform, Safety and Certification Manager for submarines in ASC Maintenance.
In addition to that Emily has been involved in all areas of her family’s businesses; at one point holding the role of Head of Aircraft Maintenance. She also currently sits on the board of Julia Farr Association. Tonight Emily will give an insight into current reforms happening with in the company.
