Organised by Brisbane Chapter Chair Gopinath Chadopadhay, the event’s presentations came from Dr Monique Beedles of Teak Yew and Robert Crow of the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO). With 22 delegates in attendance from a variety of industries across Tasmania, including TasWater, TasNetworks, Hydro Tasmania, local government bodies, Fairbrothers, Launceston Airport and various consulting firms, the Asset Management Council’s Tasmania Chapter held another successful seminar on 20 February 2015.

Brief work history:
I hold a post-graduate degree in in business management and production engineering, have setup an LP gas cylinder manufacturing plant, executed turn key projects like power stations, desalination plant, jetties, marinas, in Middle East, provided institutional strengthening to Fiji PWD, undertook RCM in Sydney Water and reliability assessment of NSW Dams, and am a Strategist in Sydney Water.
Why did you first join the Asset Management Council?
I was a founding member of MESA that then became Asset Management Council and I have a passion for maintenance and asset management.

Name: Graham Webb
AM Council Title: Newcastle Chapter Chair
Brief work history:
I trained and worked in maintenance trade and management positions at BHP Steelworks, Electric Lamp Manufacturers, Alcan Aluminium Smelter and Tomago Aluminium Smelter sites over 22 years. In the late 1990s I moved into contract Condition Monitoring and worked in underground and open-cut coal mines, a copper mine, various power stations, manufacturing sites, grain handling facilities and equipment repair workshops in NSW and Queensland, and have been doing so over the past 17 years.
Why did you first join the Asset Management Council?
I joined an active Condition Monitoring group which sat under MESA in the early 1990s and have been a part of the organising of events over that whole period in various roles gaining much in contact with many people in many types of industries in many fields of technology.
I joined to learn more in the condition monitoring and maintenance management fields and make contact with others in those fields in the Newcastle Region.

I have 35 years of experience as engineer, manager, consultant, lead researcher, professor of strategic asset management and team manager in asset management and maintenance area in India, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China and Sweden in rail, manufacturing, power generation, mining, power transmission, academia, research and project finance.
Why did you first join the Asset Management Council?
I joined MESA (now known as Asset Management Council) to contribute as a member of the QLD chapter for professional development and related activities in the area of asset management, reliability and maintenance.
