The Canberra Chapter of the AMC hosted the second joint AIPM-AMC presentation to a packed audience at Engineering House in Barton, ACT on Tuesday evening of 14th August.

On Thursday August 17, Transport for NSW and Asset Management Council successfully hosted the Auburn Maintenance Centre technical site tour.
The Auburn Maintenance Centre is a train depot that is responsible for the maintenance of the Sydney Trains A set fleet operated by Downer Rail. It was an excellent opportunity to view and get up to date with this amazing facility.

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) published the international asset management systems standard, ISO 55001, in 2014. ISO 55001 is the reference standard for a value-added approach to asset management. It enables the effective integration of all aspects of the asset lifecycle, from the first design phase to acquisition, construction, commissioning, utilisation or operation, maintenance, renewal, modification and/or ultimate disposal.
AMCouncil Liaison Commissioner, Peter Kohler, has contributed to an ISO55000 White Paper “Asset Management in High Performance Organisations” designed primarily for a US Audience.
