The Sydney Chapter of the AMCouncil recently got together to take a look into Facilities Management and in particular the recent ISO Standards. Stephen Ballesty, Director In Touch Advisory, guided us through the new standards and the difference/alignments with ISO55000. Read on for further details.
Last week’s Perth mining event was so well-attended, the chapter ended up upgrading to a bigger venue in the Deloitte building to accomodate the popularity! A quick AGM resulted in Anselm Boehl being re-elected as Perth Chapter Chair for another season, and we also welcome Michael Patterson to the general WA Committee. A successful site tour to Brisbane airport last Wednesday for the Brisbane Chapter! Thanks to Ken Chapman for facilitating the online register and Mark Jordan for joining the meet-and-greet of the participants, and both their support the entire period of the tour. Also, thanks to Ron Shuttlewood for organising the mini bus and Brisbane Airport community engagement advisor in advance, the transition went effortlessly. Great team work!
An Asset Management Workshop in Gippsland was organised by the School of Science, Engineering and Information Technology’s Resources Engineering and Technology Group and supported by the Gippsland Chapter of the Asset Management Council and Engineering Network of local Engineers Australia Group on Thursday 28 June from 10.00am to 5pm.
This workshop was another of its revered Corporate Education Workshop and Seminars attended by more than 35 delegates from industry, professional bodies and FedUni and feedback received from delegates was outstanding. This was the fifth event held in the past 3 years, which has seen close to 250 delegates attend Gippsland events.

The Asset Management Council is absolutely thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with ASC, a leader in asset management in the defence sector. Close collaboration between the AMCouncil and ASC over the next twelve months will significantly contribute to the AMCouncil’s body of knowledge and in turn enable ASC to take advantage of cross-sector opportunities available in order to continue upwards on their asset management maturity journey.
