Tuesday 26 May was another great day at AMPEAK. Following keynotes from Thomas Smith, Ian Maxted, and Scott Hirst, the opening streams of the day featured talks on Life Cycle Planning, Leadership & Maturity, and Master Data.

All of our exhibitors showcased their best material at AMPEAK on Tuesday. The SAP booth featured a wifi-controlled train in which participants could alter the velocity and position of the train on its wooden track. This demonstration served to highlight SAP’s data-recording capability. Under each section of train track was a small sensor that recorded statistics on the vibrations of the track, as well as the train’s power output and efficiency. The sensors also recorded if any portion of the track had a fault and would alert participants via mobile device where the fault occurred. Among other exhibitors, Critical Asset Protection had an automatic-tracking thermal imaging machine and Transfield alluded to their impending change in brand identity.
To close out Tuesday of AMPEAK, the annual awards dinner was held (picture shown above). Guests were dressed in their finest clothes as they watched the Postgraduate Student Award be bestowed to Levente Kolek, and the Best Research Paper Award be bestowed to Alexandre Cesa. We would like to thank all applicants who submitted entries to the awards proceedings, and we look forward to another great day at AMPEAK on Wednesday.
