Wendy McPate is an accomplished professional in the realm of Asset Management, backed by an educational background that spans Asset Management, Leadership, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Wendy has over three decades of experience with roles that have encompassed electrical engineering, project management and currently as an Engineering Manager – Asset Management with Origin Energy, which reflects a deep-rooted proficiency in the field.

Wendy currently holds a pivotal position within the Asset Integrity and Assurance Leadership team of Origin Energy where her responsibilities are extensive, including the development and implementation of an Asset Management System and overseeing technical assurance by a team of specialised Principal and Process Safety Engineers. Wendy’s proficiencies are further complemented by her professional affiliations, which include being a Fellow of Engineers Australia, an Engineering Executive, and her role as Non-Executive Director for the Asset Management Council, contributing significantly to advancing industry best practices.

Wendy believes in the importance of loving what you do, lifelong learning, backing yourself, and most importantly, integrity.
