Webinar – Leveraging Asset Management at Translink Canada
28 November @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm
Llewellyn Fonseca, Senior Manager of Corporate Asset Management Strategy at Canada’s TransLink, will highlight the initial successes of their asset management program. He will discuss the collaboration of asset management champions within the complex organizational structure to advance their capabilities in this area. However, the region’s rapidly growing population has led to a swift rebound in transit ridership. This growth necessitates planning for the expansion of the system and services as a part of the region’s long-term transportation strategy. These pressing concerns are compounded by the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing safe and reliable transportation services with an aging system currently undergoing transformation, including asset renewals and a transition to a zero-emissions fleet. Discover how TransLink’s corporate asset management program intends to leverage asset management in strategic decision-making to address these complex challenges effectively and optimize value from their investments.
As Senior Manager of Corporate Asset Management Strategy at TransLink, Llewellyn is responsible for ensuring enterprise-wide stewardship of assets and influencing long-range planning. He provides leadership and strategic direction on asset management best practices, and investment planning efforts to align with ongoing sustainability and modernization initiatives, while achieving customer service excellence. Known for building trusted relationships, he collaborates with multiple stakeholders to reach consensus and optimize investment decisions for the successful delivery of complex and challenging capital projects. Llewellyn also serves on the board of directors for the Canadian chapter of the Institute of Asset Management and is passionate about helping organizations unlock the value from their investments.
