We are excited to announce that today marks the culmination of over 2.5 years of work involving approximately 250 people from around the world, including many Asset Management Council members / volunteers. The Global Forum of Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM) is pleased to release Version 3.0 of the GFMAM Asset Management (AM) Landscape.

Thirteen years since its inception, this much-anticipated V3.0 is not just an update but a significant milestone, offering a contemporary and comprehensive view of asset management from a truly international perspective. This new version is aligned with the recent updates to ISO 55001:2024 and organises asset management thinking systems into seven easy-to-read groups, facilitating vital business thinking.

To celebrate this release, we held a launch webinar event featuring John Hardwick and Dave Daines, who provided valuable insights into the new, updated, and deleted items in this version. As key contributors to the global revision, they also answered members’ questions, offering a unique opportunity to engage directly with the experts.

We invite you to be among the first to explore this updated version. Visit the Publications section on the GFMAM website (https://gfmam.org) to download the AM Landscape V3.0, available in English, French, Portuguese/Brazil, Japanese, or Mandarin. Spanish and Arabic versions will be released soon.

This release represents a consolidated view of asset management, timed perfectly with the new ISO 55001 Asset Management System Standard, providing the international community with a robust framework for developing ongoing maturity in asset management.
