AM Council Title: International Chapter Chair

Brief work history:
I hold a post-graduate degree in in business management and production engineering, have setup an LP gas cylinder manufacturing plant, executed turn key projects like power stations, desalination plant, jetties, marinas, in Middle East, provided institutional strengthening to Fiji PWD, undertook RCM in Sydney Water and reliability assessment of NSW Dams, and am a Strategist in Sydney Water.

Why did you first join the Asset Management Council?
I was a founding member of MESA that then became Asset Management Council and I have a passion for maintenance and asset management.

Why did you take on the role of International Chapter Chair?
I speak a number of languages, worked in several countries and understand the culture of people in these countries making me well-suited to be the international chapter chair of Asset Management Council.

My thoughts on: leadership and culture
Leadership and culture have been long neglected as a part of asset management and needs to be emphasised. I am keenly interested in emotional intelligence and its impact in the industry.

Three interesting facts about me:
1. I am patient and have the tenacity to get things done in difficult circumstances
2. I am an excellent cook in Goan and Indian cuisine.
3. I love fishing.
