Public transport is never far from the minds of Melbourne’s commuters – so come along on 14th March and hear the story of Metro Train’s journey of improvement in asset management and the role of PAS-55.
Ralph Godau, MTM’s Asset Management Systems Manager, will be providing a behind-the-scenes view of the work being done to review and improve asset management practices. His talk will cover the challenges, the journey so far, the technology being used and the role of PAS-55.
Ralph Godau is an experienced asset management practitioner with over 35 years’ experience and considers himself fortunate to have worked across a number of industries including gas transmission and distribution, gas safety regulator, academia, local government and the railways.
Ralph is a heavy believer in continual learning completing studies in civil engineering, business administration, system engineering and research, where he received in PhD looking into how project management, asset management and systems engineering contribute to the concept of infrastructure management. Ralph won the 2004 RMIT Research Award (Engineering) for his work on the PhD.
Ralph’s talk will be preceded by the Chapter’s AGM, chaired by John Harris.
