The Sydney Chapter invite you to the next Technical Session:

Company Valuation and dependence on Long Term Asset Planning Malcolm Astle, Sydney Water.

About the Presentation

Sydney Water has developed a financial model to determine a valuation of the company, a NSW State Owned Corporation. The model is used to assess both post hoc performance and a priori strategic decisions, such as new major acquisitions, divestments and privatisation decisions. The background to the model including how it works and the relevance of asset planning and future asset investment decisions to the performance of the model will be discussed.

Malcolm Astle is the manager corporate modelling and reporting in Sydney Water. He has over 40 years’ experience in Sydney Water in numerous financial roles including supporting all aspects of the business from customer services, construction, asset creation, operations and maintenance. He has broad experience in the economic regulation of the business and in its capital structure.
