“I am the Chairwoman of the NCCOE, the only woman on the committee and within the corresponding members. Why do I think it is important to have more women in coastal and how do we facilitate change?” questions Tanya Stul.
Tanya is not only the Chairperson of the National Committee on Coastal and Ocean Engineering (NCCOE) within Engineers Australia (EA), she is also on the Civil College Board in Engineers Australia (EA), a member of the Coastal, Ocean and Port Engineering Panel (COPEP) in WA and has joined Women in Coastal Geosciences and Engineering (WICGE).
As a visible woman in coast engineering, Tanya presented at the first WICGE sundowner at Coasts & Ports 2017 on the 21st of June to portray possible needs at various career stages in life and had a lot to say about this topic. Read more of what she had to say about it here.
