The Asset Management Council Brisbane Chapter recently hosted a technical site visit to Aurizon’s Rail Welding Facility at Yeerongpilly, with all 15 registered delegates attending.
The visit gave participants a behind-the-scenes look at the facility and the important role it plays in supporting safe and reliable rail operations. Site Manager Andrew Kumar led the group through the facility, while Peter Hermann and Sanjna Reddy shared insights into rail performance, degradation, renewal strategies and the way asset condition data informs renewal planning.
The formal visit was followed by a networking lunch, giving delegates the opportunity to continue the discussion with Andrew, Peter, Sanjna and fellow asset management professionals.
