The Australian Army is powering ahead with infrastructure on site at defence bases.
The new facilities to be built at Puckapunyal, Lavarack Barracks and Edinburgh Defence Precinct will strengthen the ADF’s maintenance of its fleet of armoured vehicles. The next generation of fighting vehicles including the Projects Land 400, Land 907 Phase 2, and Land 8160 Phase 1 over the next thirty years.
Defence force maintenance crews often require additional requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
Recently, Victorian-based small business, Air Fab, was awarded a $1.3 million contract1 with Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) to design, fabricate and supply aircraft safety stands for maintenance procedures performed on ADF assets such as the F/A 18F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growler.

GFMAM met virtually during November 2020. Dave Daines and John Hardwick are the AM Council representatives at the Global Forum on Maintenance & Asseet Management (GFMAM) and attended the virtual GFMAM meetings held every evening from 9pm till well after 1am in the morning.
