We’re in the midst of putting together our line up for our upcoming Research and Industry Day (RAID) – a free event to all (but bookings essential). In a collaboration between the AMCouncil and Federation University Australia, the 30-September will see academia meet industry to share the latest research in maintenance and management.
The Asset Management Council’s recent virtual defence summit, held in late July, was a huge success. Delegates were able to hear of the common issues that need to be addressed within the sector and thereby create an open forum of collaboration in order to successfully implement strategic and useful asset management practices.

While most of Melbourne’s inhabitants are locked inside their homes due to COVID-19, it can be reassuring to learn that there is some activity within the transport industry. The Level Crossing Removal Project is firing away in suburbs north and south-east of the CBD. The removal of dangerous and congested level crossings around Melbourne’s suburbs enhances the safety of the community, upgrades public assets such as train stations and rail lines, and creates new assets such as sky rails that will serve their purpose for many decades to come.
