Thank you to all who nominated to join the AMCouncil Brisbane Chapter Committee. All nominations were accepted at the chapter’s 8 March Annual General Meeting and the re-election of Ella Hingston as Chapter Secretary was confirmed. Sparshy Rablin (Chapter Chair) and Stephen Walker (Vice-Chair) who were elected last year in 2022 for a 2-year term remain in position.

Last week saw the Melbourne Chapter host another great event where delegates gathered to discuss industry 5.0, the next industrial journey, and what significant implications it may have on all of us. In his presentation, Clive Moore posed the question ‘can you sue an algorithm?’ and prompted the start of an ongoing conversation that as a technical community we have vested interest in.
Last week saw the Perth Chapter host a technical event where selected panellists from Rio Tinto, KPMG and AMCL evaluated some of the intricacies associated with SAMPs in Dynamic Environments.. The discussion invoked further thought and deep evaluation of how Asset Management organisations can apply different approaches to suit business models, meet ISO standards, and have SAMPs that are Useful, Useable & Used in such a rapidly changing world!
