The AMCouncil Brisbane Chapter’s Legacy Way field trip was a great experience, with all attendees saying they enjoyed the opportunity to see behind the scenes and experience a real life maintenance shutdown.
It was a full house at the Asset Management Council Adelaide Chapter breakfast meeting this morning. Questions were flying thick and fast whilst discussing the topic “Asset Management Principles and Methodologies”. Thankyou to our presenters
Another great evening learning about Emotional Intelligence, what it is and how it can support the implementation of Asset Management. This workshop lead by ‘Critical Components’ gave a psychological perspective on being more effective as an individual and as a team.
The AGM was also held and a full strength committee elected including 3 new committee members, Jane Agnew, Therese Brooks and Tristan Velnoweth.
Sydney Chapter has thrown back to a meeting format from the 1990’s in its June meeting to take on “Bring a Problem’ night. With one very large complex problem presented from the team at John Holland Group asking the question, ‘How does an organisation that covers a large regional footprint with complex assets (e.g., Large Utility etc) best engage the large asset delivery workforce to ensure ownership of the desired outcomes?’ See the problem submitted in visual format here.
The cold and blustery Canberra evening didn’t prevent the rollup of dedicated engineers and professionals to listen to EESA National president, Jeff Allen and AMCouncil Canberra Chapter Chair, Mike Schulzer talk about Managing Change in the Electric Energy Industry.
Wednesday 22nd May saw 60 delegates attend the Brisbane Chapter technical session on Data Use in Asset Management. Daniel Osbourne, Graham Heiner and Wayne Holtham provided a wide variety of thoughts and examples on how data can be captured and utilised within organisations to inform decision making, and even discussed how decisions can be made with apparently no data.
